FAQ
Quick answers to common questions.
Mainpro+ credits, RSVPs, refunds, who can attend, how to suggest a topic. Anything we missed, just email us.
How do I get my Mainpro+ credit recorded?
When you RSVP, there's an optional 'Physician details' section where you can enter your CFPC ID (Mainpro+ ID). If you provide it and you actually attend the session, we submit your attendance to CFPC so credits land in your member profile. You can also add or update the ID after the fact from your RSVP page — the link in your confirmation email gets you there. If you don't provide a CFPC ID, you're still welcome to attend; you just won't get the credit recorded automatically.
Can I cancel my RSVP?
Yes, any time before the event starts. Open the confirmation email and click 'Manage your RSVP', then click 'Cancel my RSVP'. For paid events, refunds are available up to 48 hours before the event starts — reply to your receipt email or contact events@cmegta.com to request one. Inside 48 hours we generally can't refund because the venue's already committed.
I lost my confirmation email — how do I get back to my RSVP?
Each RSVP has a unique link that we email at registration. If you can't find the email, search your inbox for 'CME GTA' (the sender) or the event title. If you really can't find it, email events@cmegta.com from the same address you registered with and we'll re-send the link.
Are dinners or refreshments included?
Usually yes for evening sponsored lectures (the announcement and event page will say so under 'What to expect'). Journal clubs typically include a simple dinner or refreshments, included in the event. Per the IMC Code, hospitality at accredited CME is kept modest and incidental to the educational content. Specific logistics are listed on each event page.
Is this open to non-physicians? NPs, pharmacists, residents, allied health?
Yes — community clinical practice is bigger than just MDs and we know it. Most sessions are designed primarily for family physicians and community specialists, but nurse practitioners, pharmacists, residents, and allied-health providers in clinic-based roles are welcome at every event. Where Mainpro+ credit applies, it's specifically for CFPC members; other professional groups should check with their own accrediting body about how the content counts.
How do I suggest a topic or speaker?
Just email events@cmegta.com with what you'd want a talk on, or who you'd want to hear from. We're a small program and read everything. We can't always commit to every suggestion, but topic ideas from community physicians genuinely shape the calendar — that's the point of running this locally rather than from a downtown academic centre.
